In your opinion, should homosexuals be able to adopt?
I do, they should be able to have a family too and give a child the love it deserves.
Just because someone is homosexual does not mean they will not be good parents. I know a lot of homosexuals who make better parents then some straight couples. Homosexuals are also human, why shouldn't they be allowed to be happy, to have a family, and to live like the rest of the straight community.
Some people say "they will confuse the kid because now the kid will have two moms or two dads". That isn't true. The kid isn't going to be confused, they are going to know they have two loving parents who will love them unconditionally and who will always support them. Kids also understand and comprehend more than most people think.
Homosexuals deserve to be happy just like the rest of the world, why not allow them to adopt a child and give that child the love and support they need.
That being said, I do believe homosexuals should be able to adopt
Yes, I believe that homosexuals should be able to adopt. Homosexuals are people who are loving and kind, just like most others. Homosexual couples, much like some heterosexual couples, cannot conceive and have a child in the normal way. Adoption gives them the chance to be parents when they otherwise could not. It would be no different than if my husband and I were to adopt because I could not have kids. I think it's really sad how people portray and discriminate against homosexuals.
As a homosexual, I do think adoption should be legal, provided the standards set for adoption are equal. A loving family is a loving family, regardless of sexuality. But equally, an abusive family is an abusive family. The rules should be exactly the same for homosexual couples as they are for heterosexual couples.
